Laguna Tools has a reputation for producing robust, well-made lathes. This mid-size lathe is made from cast iron and steel, providing sufficient mass to dampen most vibration, while a 1 hp motor provides plenty of power with little to no noise. Controlled by the innovative PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), this system ensures consistent RPM and torque, even under heavy loads and at low speeds to vastly improve efficiency. This is especially helpful for roughing or dense woodwork. Laguna has designed the swing and center-to-center capacity to allow space to accommodate a wide variety of turning projects. A variety of accessories are available separately, allowing you to extend the center-to-center for longer spindle work or support outboard turning for work that is larger in diameter, such as bowls. A cam mechanism allows for one-handed, toolless drive-belt changes of three easily changed speed ranges. A heavy-duty bench-top lathe for precision turning.
