Drum Sanders
One of the best ways to achieve consistently flat, smooth surfaces, especially with shop-made veneer, large panels or highly figured woods, is with a drum sander. Laguna Supermax drum sanders are versatile additions to any workshop, speeding up the sanding process significantly, efficiently removing material and smoothing work surfaces. The sanders have an open-ended design that effectively doubles the width capacity of workpieces the sanders can handle with a double pass. The conveyors are operated using a dial knob to control the feed speed but are governed with an innovative "Intellisand" feature that continuously monitors the load on the drum and automatically adjusts speeds to minimize burning, gouging and tear-out. Whether you are a professional woodworker or an avid hobbyist, Laguna Supermax drum sanders are sure to become a staple in your shop.
Each drum sander includes an open stand and one 80x abrasive wrap. Infeed/outfeed tables, casters, a digital depth gauge and additional abrasive wraps are available.
