Description

Made with 3/4" diameter rods welded to 1/4" thick steel plate, these sturdy concealed brackets fasten to wall framing to support heavy mantels or shelves. Each bracket has a pattern of holes and slots to accommodate variable screw spacing, so it's easy to center screws on studs, providing flexibility in positioning without compromising strength.

The item being mounted requires 13/16" diameter mounting holes (two or three, depending on bracket size); the holes need to be parallel, plumb, and a minimum of 6 1/4" deep, so a floor-stand drill press is recommended. A router is also required to cut a 1 3/8" × 1/4" deep recess into the back to inset the attachment plate for a flush mount to a wall.

We offer the brackets in four sizes: 18", 26", 34" and 42", each compatible with 1 3/4" to 2 1/2" thick materials projecting 7" to 14" from the wall and up to 10" wider than the stated size (e.g., the 18" bracket supports shelves 18" to 28" wide). The two smaller sizes support up to 160 lb;* the two larger brackets support up to 270 lb.*

An excellent solution for many challenging wall installations. Made in USA.

*Capacity ratings are based on evenly distributed loads; keep in mind that placing the load farther from the wall increases leverage, multiplying the force applied to the bracket, fasteners and wall. Actual capacity also depends on the number and type of fasteners used, the material into which they are installed, and other factors.
